3.      Each team shall play two matches, home and away, or as may be arranged, with every other team in the league.

4.      Two points shall be awarded for a win of 7 games or more and one point for a draw of 6-6 or 5-5.  Where the result of a match is 6-4, 6-3 or 5-4 then only one point will be awarded for a win.  Where either or both teams has less than 8 players, matches shall be played as follows:-  i) 1 team 8 players, 1 team 7 players - 8 singles/4 pairs (2 players v 1 in one pair)  ii) 1 team 8 players, 1 team 6 players - 8 singles/4 pairs iii) Both teams 7 players - 7 singles/3 pairs  iv) 1 team 7 players, 1 team 6 players - 7 singles/3 pairs  v) Both teams 6 players - 6 singles/3 pairs.

5.      THE VISITING TEAM MUST SIGN THE LINES FIRST.  No team may play a league match with less than six players.  Not more than two players arriving late can be included to bring a team up to the full strength, provided a legal line-up of at least six players are present (i.e. - have signed team lines) when a match commences, and that play is not held up awaiting the arrival of latecomers.  A score of 12-0 shall be given against the team unable to supply a legal line-up of six players except where the team claiming the match has only 6 or 7 players.  Under such circumstances, the result with 6 players will be 9-0 and with 7 players 10-0 - the match lines to be completed with the appropriate result and signed by the secretary of the team claiming the match.

6a)    All matches shall commence at 8 p.m. unless the officials, for some reasonable cause, extend the time.  A game shall be deemed officially started when the away captain calls on the toss of a coin to decide the first throw.  The winner shall throw first in all odd numbered games and the loser shall throw first in all even numbered games.

b)      In league matches, a player shall play her singles match in the order in which her name appears on the board.  Should any player not be on the premises when due to play, therefore forfeiting her right to play in the singles, then a reserve, or the last player listed may play in her place. The moving of all names up one place, however, is NOT permitted.

7.      All matches shall take place as per the fixture card.

8.      The board shall be 5'-8" high from the floor to the centre of the Bull and the throw line, or Oche, 237 cms, in a plumb line from the face of the board measured along the floor.  No player may throw from a distance of less than 237 cms.

9.      Any protest regarding the legality of a throw must be made at the time of such throw.

10.    If an official challenges a player for overstepping the minimum throwline and the player persists in same, her score for that throw will not count (i.e. - the total sum of her three darts will count zero).

11.    The throw line, or "Oche", shall be not less than 2 feet in length and raised not less than 1-1/2".

12.    All scoring boards shall be fixed so that the score can be clearly seen and individual scores to be shown at the side for checking.

13.    No automatic marking boards to be used for matches.

14.    A "bull   (50) shall count as a double.

15a) A player is not bound to go for the double required, but may obtain the number in her own way provided she obtains the exact number required and finishes on a double which completes the exact number to finish the game.  During a throw a player may ask the checker her score to date, or what remains, and may be told either.  She may only be told the amount and not the double i.e. 34 and not double 17.

b).     Any dart mistakenly thrown by a player after scoring the required 'double' shall not be counted, as the respective leg is concluded by the dart scoring the required double.

16a) When one or two darts have been thrown and a player asks what remains, marker and checker must agree with what remains and their amalgamated decision is final.

b)      An incorrect score must be corrected at the time it is written on the scoreboard and cannot be corrected later.

c)      Incorrect subtraction may be corrected provided the player(s)/team involved has/have not thrown more than 3 darts following the error nor thrown for any double.

17.    Three "doubles" or "trebles"" or three darts in one "bed" is not "game" unless the three "doubles" constitute the exact number required.

18.    Only the darts actually touching or in the board are counted.  Checker may shout "check" or "off".  If darts fall out  before the completion of the throw they are not counted.  Should a dart fall out after the total score for the three darts or the winning dart has been called, it still counts.

19.    A dart counts what it indicates at point of entry irrespective of the position in which it is in the board.

20.    In all competitive games under this Association the following will govern the finish of games:- when a player exceeds the number required, she reverts to the total she required before her last throw i.e. if a player required 32, she scores 16, then 8, then 13, she requires 32 when she next throws.

21.    Home teams must provide a scorer and a marker and the visiting team one scorer.

22.    Each player must sign a registration form approved by the Association, and a Bond of £14 to be paid before the start of season.  A

Home teams are responsible for sending in results of drawn games.
All players must personally SIGN team lines before playing in any league match.
Teams failing to comply with this rule shall forfeit point or points gained in match concerned.

26.    In disputes regarding playing conditions: viz. position, type, height or condition of board, length of throw, oche, lighting etc., a protest must be made before play commences otherwise, once play has commenced, this will be regarded as signifying that the playing conditions are satisfactory and agreed by both teams.  Failing settlement of any complaint on the spot, the match shall be played "Under Protest" and the match result sheet marked accordingly and signed on behalf of the protesting team.  Protest must be made in writing, full reasons being stated, to the Association Secretary within two days of the match taking place.  No protest concerning the playing conditions will be considered unless this is made in accordance with the procedure detailed above and also complies with the procedure governing protests generally.

27.    All matters concerning eligibility of players and interpretation of rules, or other disputes, shall be referred to the Committee who decision shall be final.

28.    All protests must be accompanied by a deposit of £2 and lodged with the Committee within two days of match concerned.  Protesting team must name player or players protested against.
