Season 2008-09
The Aberdeen Darts Association season 08-09 starts on Aug 04th for Division 1 to 4. the committee are taking registrtions ever Monday night from 6.30pm in the East Neuk Kings Street Aberdeen. Could all teams who do not wish to entry the Fountain / Ambassador trophy (Division 1 to 4 teams only) please contact the committee by the 28th July (see rule:- All teams to complete a competition entry form at the start of the season. Teams that fail to return forms will be deemed to have entered all competitions). 1st round of competition will be held on Thursday 7th Aug 2008.

The AGM will take place on Monday 19th May 08 @ TUC Club starts 7.30.
None attendance will result in a £20 fine.
Any teams wishing to join the ADA must have letters in to the committee by 5th may.
Any proposals must be in writting by the 5th may.

ABERDEEN DARTS FANS RAISE A PINT WITH 'THE POWER'
Maclachlan's Best Ale hosted an evening of darts on Friday 4th of April with the famous multi-world champion darts player, Phil (The Power) Taylor. From 7pm, 250 darts fanatics descended on the Watering Hole at Hillhead Halls of Residence in Aberdeen to meet the darts star.
Twelve selected enthusiasts got the opportunity to challenge 'The Power' to a leg of darts. Competitions were held prior to the event to select each of the contestants. After the competition, there was a signing session and an opportunity for fans to have an informal chat with Phil over a pint of ale.

Phil Taylor, who is visiting Scotland to attend the Premier League Darts at the AECC, commented on the evening: "It's great coming up to Scotland , the atmosphere here is fantastic and I am so proud to be sponsored by a pint so fitting as Maclachlan's Best Ale of Scotland".
Maclachlan's Best Ale was reintroduced just last year, some 40 years since it was originally produced at the Castle Brewery in Glasgow . Maclachlan's, a 3.6% ABV cream ale which combines complex flavours of malt and caramel which mingle with liquorice and fruit to give a memorable smooth drinking experience.

Proposal for discussion at EGM on Thursday 13th September
Rule 32. Teams from Super Premier/Premier shall play two home and two away games. All other divisions shall play one home and one away game. If home venue is unavailable to accomodate away team, Home team shall forfeit home advantage and play game at opponent's venue. The Committee shall be informed if premises are closed or normal playing area is unavailable before next scheduled match. If after a period of four weeks the home venue is still unavailable, the Committee shall have the discretion to agree to a suitable alternative venue to be used until the home venue is available.

In accordance with the Constitution, an Extraordinary General Meeting has been called. This will be held at 6pm on 13 September in the East Neuk. One representative from each club should attend this meeting. There will be a £20 fine for non-attendance.
