My little shop was made from scratch - just a few sheets of MDF and some scribbled out plans on a bit of paper. I admit that inspiration for the shop floor layout came from a kitchen plan in a Venus & Martin Dodge book but the whole thing was pretty much made up as I went along.

Since the shop is only a single room deep I had to fake the hallways. I did however want to ensure that if anyone tried to look through the doors there would be something to see on the other side!

The flagstones on the front of the shop are made from a sticky back floor tile which was laboriously cut up, stuck down and then grouted. I have however found that the glue on these tiles is not strong enough to hold the vertically placed tiles on the edge of the base so I shall get the glue out and stick them back on!

The tiled roof is made from those little bits of wooden tiling - took absolutely ages to stick on and I needed rather more than expected. I then painted the roof in layers of very watered down paints, first black and then silver grey, until I got the colour I wanted and then liberally blobbed with glue and 'moss' applied.
