PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

This is my second year as President of the Forum on Maternity and the Newborn, and I am honoured to hold this position; I look forward to meeting members and other interested enthusiasts during the session 2005-2006.

Our programme during the Bicentenary year of the Royal Society of Medicine was very successful and we wish to continue to offer good quality and interesting meetings in the present session.

Since its foundation in 1982 our Section has been a pioneer of multidisciplinary co-operation within the RSM. This important aspect of our role continues, and we have arranged an exciting and diversified programme with speakers who are recognised nationally and internationally.

I am pleased to invite you to join Councillors and myself at our meetings, and trust that members will give them wide publicity.
