TreVoR Wilkinson made his first car about 1959 and the TVR car was born. The Company has had fluctuating fortune ever since but is now one of the most innovative and successful performance car designers in the world.
TVR made only 148 TVR 1600Ms over a 10yr period and some of these have been converted to 3000Ms in the intervening years. I am therefore driving a rather rare car and will resist the temptation to drop in the bigger motor.

This car belonged to me from 1960 to 1962 and for those 2 yrs was my pride and joy. It was my first car and cost £65-00p, I earned just £6-50p a week as an apprentice telephone engineer. I learned a lot tidying up this old car. In 1960 it was not that old at 13yrs but was in terrible condition. Needless to say I very much regret selling it, albeit for the princely sum of £75-00p.
