Robert Harrison is best remembered for his famous scandal sheet "Confidential", a magazine
full of dirt, slander and fabricated scandals. However before the launch of "Confidential" in
1952 Harrison had been publishing a variety of "girlie mags", with memorable titles such as
Titter (America's Merriest Magazine), Beauty Parade (The World's Loveliest Girls), Wink,
Flirt, Eyeful (Glorifying the American Girl) and Whisper.
To attract his customers Harrison ensured that his magazine's had the most eye catching
covers possible, and employed the talents of three leading pin-up artists: Peter Driben,
Earl Morgan and Billy De Vorss. Regrettably most of the budget went on the covers and the
magazine contents were often lacking.
