The Males
and Females are
listed by age and then name. They were sorted by the type of surname type
but I don't find that helpful since the names were mis-recorded so often.
For example my Great Gdad is spelt with only one G. The numbers of each

Where FreeBMD is working on the national index there is also work in hand to
index the records held by the local Registrars such as at Teesvalley and Lancashire and other sites
can be found at http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/
As at August 2002 the Lancashire site only has some marriages.
The Middlesbrough site has some births
and marriages and deaths.
You'll have to look at the sites themselves to see what the coverage
is.
