the record has been omitted. Some of the allocations are guessed.
Any corrections or additions are welcome.
The column on the left is what is written on the 1841 census. On the right is the conjecture and sometimes additional info from other sources such as the 1851 census.

Geoff HOGGARTH says this is his G2 Gdad - Langdale End Branch. From the 1851 census Matthew was born in Egton in 1809/10. Matthew is buried at Cloughton with a James HOGGARTH born 1801 at Egton. If that is the James at HO 107/1265-16, folio 54, Whitby, Cliff Lane then Matthew is probably his brother and so a son of Francis HOGGARTH and Mary JOHNSON. |

Ray HOGGART claims these and an attempt at a tree is here.
John is thought to be father to Rachel and Grandad to the

NBI-2 has a William HOGGART age 80 funeral at Bilsdale St

Mave CALVERT has Hannah BRITAIN born c. 1798 married to
Stephen HOGGARD with a son called George born about 1829.
The WOODHOUSE file has Stephen married to Mary KITCHING who died in 1822. Stephen married Hannah in 1824. Bilsdale St Hilda has this MI - Sacred to the memory of THOMAS HOGGART who died 7th March 1821 aged 82 years and Mary the wife of STEPHEN HOGGART who died 17th January 1822 aged 29 years. Also the above STEPHEN HOGGART who died June 18th 1829 aged 43 years. May 2007 Ray HOGGART suggests the Seave Green family is - Stephen lost his wife Mary in 1822 and remarried to Hannah and their daughter Emm was born 1824 and son George in 1829. Stephen died in 1829 leaving his widow Hannah at Seave Green. The George born 1829 could be the one in York Gaol in 1851. I think a back to basics (parish and tenants) review of the Bilsdale lot is required but that's on the back burner for the "summer". |

Almost certainly George is of the Ugthorpe

son of Philip HOGGARTH and Ruth TOPLIFF of Dun Bogs. Don't know who Mary is. No evidence of George getting married. By the age it could be Mary HOGGIT daur of John HOGGIT and Mary WEBSTER who (MW) later married Andrew CARIOLI. However I think Mary HOGGIT was married to William HARRISON in 1832. |

I suspect this Jane may be Jane Potts HOGGARTH, daughter of
James HOGGARTH and Ann POTTS and hence part of the Langdale End

She may be the Jane HOGGARTH who married Thomas PEARSON June qtr 1855 Whitby vol 9d page 624 and had Henry Hoggarth PEARSON bap. 21 Dec 1855 and Jane PEARSON bap. 14 March 1858.
