All earthly comforts vanish thus, so little hold of them have we, that we from them or they from us, may in a moment taken be.

Ref - C10.  In loving memory of ALONZO HOGGARTH who died January 22nd 1890 aged 29 years. “Beloved in life; in death lamented”. Also ISAAC GARBUTT ALONZO son of the above ALONZO and HANNAH HOGGARTH born November 25th 1889 died April 7th 1891. To us for sixteen anxious months, his infant smiles were given, and then he bade farewell to earth, and went to live in heaven. George HOGGARTH (of Ruswarp) born 2 January 1847 died 7 March 1932, wife was Sarah b 14 March 1850 d 20 March 1930. In the same grave was Gertrude Helen PICKERING d 20 November 1945 aged 63, and Gertrude's daughter Gwendoline May d 23 June 1933 aged 17.
(NB: I am told by Ian HOGGARTH of Warwick, whose Grandfather was the brother of Gertrude, that it is PUCKERING not PICKERING)
