Extracts from Parish Records - Whitby

(This page was last modified on 19th November 2000)

Sorry to disappoint those who were hoping for anything like a full extract of all the HOG*s who were processed in the parish church at Whitby.
The entries for the two marriages of Philip HOGGARTH were sent to me by Margaret DENHAM who took them from a hand written transcript of the Whitby Parish Church Marriage Register. The transcript is at the Whitby Literary and Philosophical Society which is in one part of the Whitby Museum (which they founded).
This Philip HOGGARTH is the brother of Lawrence John HOGGARTH.
