I studied Archive Restoration and Conservation, including traditional bookbinding, in London. This was after I changed courses, after studying painting for my first year. I now live in north east Scotland.

In my work I strive to combine words, text and poetry, and the drawn and painted line to present a new whole. Broadsheets and limited edition artist books form the basis for much of my work. I sometimes also include my papermaking and marbling skills, to add another dimension. Gestural life drawing and the calligraphic mark are one of my main interests. I am working to combine the two.
