Our Papillons

At the moment 4 papillons share my life:

Pippa

PippaPippa (Jadedoren Toodle-Pip) born in 1991 and still going strong. She was shown fairly successfully for a while but didn't enjoy it, and so she retired to motherhood. She had four litters, all to different dogs, and each time producing sound, typical, puppies. Some have been shown successfully, and others have enriched the lines of local breeders. By nature she is very calm and undemanding, and very easy to live with.

Wimp

WimpWimp (Bobbards Very Merry) was born in 1997, sired by Lynlight Hellraiser, who's line goes back to Ringlands Elegant Boy. Although very shy at first she grew into a perfect show girl, with that look-at-me factor. Although we rarely visited championship shows she still has two reserve CC's besides numerous group awards at open level. Her favourite occupation is putting up pheasants and chasing rabbit and deer on our farm. She has a very good 'nose' and quarters the ground like a spaniel if she thinks there is a game about.

Buzz

BuzzBuzz (Bobbards May Bee) sired by Lord of the Rings at Velvynor, we originally kept with his sister Mabel ( Bobbards May Belle) because I couldn't decide which was best. Apparently neither could anyone else because either one or the other were regularly placed first and second throughout their junior careers. Both were very sound, but Buzz had the more glamorous coat. He is extraordinarily affectionate and very playful, and has passed both traits on to his puppies. He's also shown a natural aptitude for obedience when training with my daughter. His favourite pastime is chasing a ball, and he's convinced that small children were sent especially to throw one for him.

Sweep

SweepRecently we have kept Sweep (Bobbards Sweet Pea) born in 2003 and sired by Palmona September Song at Erinsjoy out of Bobbards May Belle Her construction and movement are difficult to fault but as her face markings (or lack of them) are uneven I doubt we will go to many shows. However! I have high hopes for her as a mother of many future winners, and only time will tell.
