KIRILIAN PHOTOGRAPHY
Russian scientist Semyon Kirilian, having accidentally received a sparking shock from an electrical device, went on to develop what he saw as a means of capturing the image of an aura on photgraphic paper. Kirilian photography has produced images of both plant and animal material and, although still considered controversial within conventional medical practice, it is now used by some doctors to detect diseases such as cancer.
