A very rich publishing magnate, who has been attracted to the UFO fringe, offering substantial funds to a loosely-connected group of Internet UFO fanatics called The Watchman Organisation. MacCracken is just one of many funding members to this group, which consists of many dilettantes and obsessives. Nevertheless, the organisation is a powerful sifting house for rumours and theories. MacCracken was recruited into Aegis by Major James Bradley and has proven to be a thoroughly dependable agent, despite increasing paranoia in recent times.
