What is Fin-S ?

Fin-S is a suite of scoring and utility programs for Bridge Club Scorers, Tournament Directors and Event Organisers.

Whatever you do with Bridge Scoring, it is designed to make your life easier.

How does it work ?

It comes as a set of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. To run them, you need to be able to run Excel, Version 5 or later, which is best on Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 or XP, although you can run under Windows 3.1 too.

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE AN EXCEL EXPERT TO RUN IT.

Why should I shell out my hard-earned cash to buy it ?

Well, for one thing, it is very cheap; I charge ONLY 10 POUNDS (sterling) for the latest release if you download it from the web site, and ONLY 15 POUNDS if I have to resort to snail mail - the extra covers my costs in diskettes, paper, postage, envelopes, etc.. For that, you get all the software, plus a 50 page User Manual to make sure you get the most out of it (I even include a section on using Excel for those who are not familiar with it). Its got a really nice Graphical User Interface which helps non-tekkies to get used to it, and did I mention that its very cheap ?

Chris Stableford is an E.B.U. Qualified Director who plays his bridge in Surrey. Fin-S has been used as the standard scoring program at his local Club for over a year now, and is in use in many other Clubs too.

I am playing outside England. Can I still use Fin-S ?

Of course! However, Fin-S uses the English Bridge Union's Master Point mechanisms (and now, some Australian, Swiss and Irish ones too!), so they may not suit the approach taken elsewhere in the World, BUT it is built to be adaptable! If you wish to try it, E-Mail me for an Evaluation Copy, and then you can let me know what needs to be done to get it to do things right wherever you are.
