Warwickshire Wild Flowers

John C. Bowra - our good friend and fellow botanist died suddenly, only a few days after his beloved wife Win. His funeral was at Oakley Wood on Wednesday 14th August.

John's huge contributions to the recording of of wild flowers in Warwickshire and to the understanding of the genus Oenothera in the British Isles will stand as a memorial to his life.

A message from Pam Copson re: BSBI Vice-County Recordership. When I retired from the the post of Keeper of Natural History at the Warwickshire Museum 3 years ago I gave notice of my wish to find a successor for the voluntary post of BSBI county recorder. Now having just received notice of the next national survey project the time has come for me to resign anyway so that a new person can begin the new project. This leaves vc 38 without a BSBI Recorder. Communications should be addressed to the museum pending the appointment of a new recorder. I will continue to maintain this website until other arrangements can be made.
