Apologies to all and sundry for the least well maintained site on the block,
and despite or because of all the people who have been leaving their
electronic thumbprints we are going to do something about making it
entertaining instead of keeping enquiries at a lazy distance.
Well, in the way of these things I'm being decanted into a twenty year old
delta winged aeroplane at Heathrow by the genial Rick Peel who is looking
for bright people, and that's another long story.
In the meantime my tip is the Oxford leather shop in Turl St, Oxford,
proprietor Solly and if you say you read it here as tip tapped by David he
will give you a decent discount of at least ten per cent and the wine is on
me if he doesn't, and no we don't have any financial interest in this
whatsoever.
Wally Blacker back from Roumania and his writings and photos are quelques
choses.
Lumbered over the bridge for the 21st anniversary of the first bungy jump
and - here's the good news - the genial police of Bristol (not sure if I can
name their names) acted in the finest and kindest traditions of the worlds
first proper police force by letting me off with a good humoured warning and
driving me back to the hotel for breakfast. This exemplary behaviour is
worthy of proper recognition and I will return to it later.
In the, er, not so meantime please accept Dafydd's photos by way of
explanation and we will be back with a proper account.
