Here's the village the day we arrived. Our hotel is on the right and
the mountains are all around. |

Grant with his board, ready to
shred the mountain! |

The first few days were sunny
and beautiful. |

One of the few things bigger
or harder than Don's head is Grosté peak, behind him. |

Grant had a snowboarding
lesson from Tullio. He liked Tullio a lot. Sooz liked him, too. Hmmm. |

I was going to snap a photo of
Sooz and Grant whizzing by but instead caught the aftermath of a
pile-up. |

We ate quite well. Grant
enjoyed a sip of the local vino,
too! |

Christmas Eve, we relaxed in
front of the fire. |

On Christmas, we took a ride on a sled pulled by 11 huskies. |

This puppy was so cute! He
wasn't one of the ones pulling us, though. |

Madonna at night. It was a
bustling place, filled with designer fashions & mink coats wherever
you looked. |

The Dolomites are very dramatic. |

We had one very foggy morning;
it was like skiing in a white-out. |

Here's the happy family riding
the gondola back up. |

Grant about to plunge into the
fog-enshrouded valley below. |

Day 3 of the bruise Sooz
acquired in the rock accident (above). We have photos taken every day
if
you want them for a medical textbook. |

In the local video
game/internet parlor, we met Camilla, the charming host dog. |

After a hard day of boarding, a nice soak in the tub felt great! |

On our final day, we skiied through fresh snow. Try as we might, we
could not find two snowflakes that looked alike! |

It snowed heavily the last two
days. Grant climbed a huge snowpile in front of the hotel. |

Our trip home was long and
eventful. At one point, Don had to drive the bus through a treacherous
mountain pass!! |
