Woodturning - Producing circular cross-section (usually) wooden items by spinning a 'blank' of wood on a lathe, and cutting away waste by holding tools up to the wood.
I mostly make wooden bowls, because these are easier than any other turned product, but will sell for the best prices. Bowls are also very functional, because they can be made to different specifications (eg size, shape, type of wood) to hold a huge variety of different items. If you are interested in woodturning, please contact me to tell me about it.

I would like to thank Mr Gilbert Bruce of Limavady, who was the maker of the bowls that got me interested in woodturning. He has given me lots of useful advice and information, as well as numerous pieces of well seasoned wood from his stockpile.
