Alpine Forest Level
 
 
Evergreen trees stand guard around deep, clear, cold, glacial lakes. Those lakes and rivers that are partially frozen make treacherous causeways. High above, the quickly approaching snow line is stark against grey mountainsides. Cliffs, scree slopes, and rockslides make footing somewhat difficult. The air is crisp and getting colder as you approach the mountain crags.
