trees surround large pockets of stagnant water and more sinister pools of
quicksand and tar pits. Giant insects buzz around large gnarled roots, fallen
trees, and through the grey mist hangs in the thick air. Huge, smooth boulders
rise out of wet mud. At night, will-‘o-the-wisps, glow eerily… always just
out of reach. The ground dries and the trees and undergrowth become steadily
denser as you approach the jungle. |
