Local Chanting Groups

Mary Benefiel leads a local chanting/voice class happening regularly at the Buddhist Centre in Ipswich. She also gives workshops regularly around East Anglia, as well.

More and more people want to come home to their voices, their spirituality, and to discover their real heart's desire. Chanting together is an opportunity to experience this homecoming. You do not have to be an experienced singer to take part. Each meeting we will practice sacred chants and mantras from different traditions. While the songs are simple, their real power will be revealed as we practice them together. It is possible, in this context, to deepen your spiritual connection, to get centred more easily, and to come back to a more natural state of peacefulness.

Mary Benefiel is a trained singer and voice teacher, who has taught and led groups in America, Belgium, France, Holland, Germany, Ireland and England. She has completed a course in The Naked Voice with Chloe Goodchild, which brings together the spiritual and the therapeutic aspects of singing.
