Special built by John(?) Meredith who lived near Gloucester sold to me unfinished and unused in 1959

I don't have a single picture of the car without its hardtop; this is quite strange as I rarely used the top as it was heavy and actually designed for a two-plus-two configuration. I have cheated, and removed the hardtop electronically (not very well, however!)

I had forgotten that the front of the bonnet used to scrape on the ground when raised - see damage above air intake
Body off
Head off too - you can see the reason why!

The XPEG (1500cc version of the MG TF XPAG unit) engine could not take the stresses from raised compression, balancing, twin 1 3/4 SU's etc.
The blowups included two broken cranks, disintegrated piston (above), a broken rocker and a mashed first gear.
Note the wishbone front and DeDion rear
suspension with inboard brakes
Finally, the only colour picture I have of the car - note the drilled front drums which let in rain rendering cold brakes useless!
