This photograph, taken in March 1939, was rescued from the cellar of a house in Frederick Road, shortly before its demolition. Since then it has been cared for by veteran teacher Roger Cockbill (1966-2006), who very kindly deposited it in the school's Archive Centre in January, 2008.
