My name is James William Perkins. I'm a "thirty-niner" (this saves having to update my age every year!), born, brought up and educated in Birmingham, UK - so I have a smoker's cough without the pleasure of smoking!

I'm 5ft 8 ins (1.73m) tall, weigh 10½ stone (147 lbs for the benefit of any American readers and 67kg to others!). Apparently these statistics give me a BMI (Body Mass Index to you!) of 22.3 which, being between 19 and 24, means that I am healthy! As you saw from the 'mugshot' (awful isn't it?), I have thinning brown hair, grey at the temples and wear glasses.

I live in Castle Bromwich, less than a mile from Birmingham city boundary.

I have a younger brother (who is a "forty fiver"), no wives, no children, no nieces, no nephews, but 15 cousins, 26 first-cousins-once-removed and 14 first-cousins-twice-removed. Not bad, eh!
