Bill Monroe used to sing Footprints In The Snow in E, which is quite a high key. As an ordinary mortal I find that D is more comfortable for such vocal range as I have, so here is a mandolin break in the key of D.
I like to play Footprints In The Snow at a moderate pace, with swing, about half note = 104.
