Lighting Modifications

I need more light!

Next mod will be a Morrette twin lamp kit. The Mondy lights are not bad, but I do a lot of night driving in the countryside and need as much as I can get.

The lower spot and fogs are cheap Halfords Raydot 4" lamps that were picked as they will compliment the Morrette kit when fitted.

The spots are wired to come on with the normal main beam and the fogs come on with the rear fogs, so I had no extra switch gear to fit (there is little room on the dash for them)

I had to cut away the plastic on the lower grill to expose metal frame suitable for bolting the brackets in and cut more plastic away to allow the bolts to be tightened/. I plan to spray all the fittings black soon,

I purposely picked cheap lamps as they are very vulnerable here (haven't damaged one yet though) and hence cheap to replace. They do throw out a good amount of light especially to the sides which was an area the original lights didn't cover too well.

The original light reflectors are beginning to discolour and I get condensation on the inside of the glass some days so it is definitely time to replace the main lights

I've also upgraded the bulbs to exotic Xenon gas ones that are 30% brighter than normal but still a legal 55/60w bulb and still a white colour and not the boy racer blue.
