Membership Issues
How many other
people have experienced delays getting replies and action from LC on membership
issues? Below are two examples. Has anyone had luck getting extra days added
before needing to renew to make up for poor service and late openings?
I fear that the closure
of LC's Redbourn office will not help these matters and may be part of then
problem already.

Re: VALE FARM MEMBERSHIP
Dear Sir / Madam
I renewed my Peak Swimming Ticket for 2004/05 in January '04 and paid £150 for another years swimming, but when my membership card was due for renewal in February '04 I was told that my membership had expired although I had paid for my swimming ticket.
My membership card was taken from me and I was told a member of staff from Harpers membership would contact me.
I received a phone call from a member of Harpers membership staff in April '04 and explained the problem with my membership, the member of staff said they would chase it, while I was talking to member of staff I asked him if I could change my membership from peak swim to peak gym and swim, member of staff said that would be possible if I paid the extra cost, I paid £200 to change my membership.
I have been issued with my new membership card and a temporary membership card which has been extended another month as my membership card details have not been put on VaIe Farms computer database from your head office.
How much longer will I have to wait for you to update your computer database?
Yours Sincerely J Beaumont Published

Request for Extension
Three weeks ago I asked a
Duty Manager at Vale Farm about an extension on my annual card. I was told it
would be to be decided by the manager. (With so many late openings am I really
the first customer in the UK to ask LC for an annual card to deliver a year's worth
of leisure? I had expected there would be a policy by now.)
I emailed the address given
for Vale Farm on the LC website on June 23 and tried another address on June 27.
I am now trying the regional manager.

Dear Christine, Re emails below,
I have tried two different addresses for Vale Farm. No mail has bounced back so
I assume the email addresses are valid.
I hope you can arrange a reply before Wednesday
morning, when my card runs out.

Dear Ben, my Brent Leisure card
(6006***)
) runs out on July 7th.
Given the problems at Vale
Farm over the last year including failure to open and late opening I request an
extension of two weeks before renewal.
