Paul Hackett and twin sons Justin and Jason are famed world-wide for their Bridge skills, both as individuals and as members of a remarkable family. Between them, the family have won most of the major titles around the world, including many European Championships, the World Junior Championship and were most recently victorious in Hong Kong, Norway and Japan. Uniquely, all three members of the Hackett family regularly feature in the same all conquering Great Britain team. The Press have not been slow to catch on to the unique interest created by the family. They have become the Bridge correspondents in the Sunday Express and articles about their exploits can be found in publications as diverse as the Daily Telegraph and The Times, their local Manchester Evening News and specialist Bridge publications around the world.

Not content with numerous successes on the global circuit, their tutorial material and seminars have helped pass on some of their skills and insight to budding players across five continents. The Hacketts' career is set to continue to blossom, and their gruelling schedule continues, as they set new standards in contests world-wide.

In 2008 Japan, Australia, Shanghai, San Francisco and many European Tournaments are on their schedule.

The newest member of the family is Barbara (nee Stawowy), who married Justin on the 1st of September 2001 and adds her two gold, three silvers and two bronze medals to the family trophy cabinet. Her latest medal was a Silver in the Venice Cup in 2007 playing for the German Women's team.

Latest news: June 2008

Paul together with Dan Crofts, Gary Hyett and Edward levy won the Shropshire teams at the Shrewsbury Congress.

Paul partnered Ross Harper together with team-mates Tony Waterlow, Ian Panto, Gunnar Hallberg, John Holland and Captain John Williams represented England in the Senior Camrose where they were convincing winners.

Roy Moore, Edward Levy, Justin and Paul with occasional help from Susan Stockdale and Brian Senior did the double by winning the Warwickshire League and the Handicap.

In Staffordshire Dan Crofts, Edward Levy, Justin and Paul won the Staffs Cup and finished second in the League.

Jason and Paul lost the money prize in a split tie in Croatia. Team-mates were Ross Harper, David Levy and Richard Probst.

In Moscow Justin celebrated with Andrew Gromov as they watched Manchester United winning the Champions League.

Jason, Justin and Paul joined by Tony Waterlow, John Armstrong and John Holland with Captain Bill Hirst and coach David Burn are in Pau representing the English team in the European Championships.
