Sammy's Super F.A.Q.

So what was "Sammy's Super T-Shirt" all about? On the internet over the past few years the true content of the film has been blurred, as sketchy memories have pieced together certain elements of the story, creating vague if not entirely true descriptions of it. That's where we step in. We present to you the definitive F.A.Q. that truly sets the record straight!

Q. How did Sammy's t-shirt become super?
A. After accidentally ending up as part of a factory experiment, the shirt encounters a power surge as Sammy attempts to rescue it from a machine. This gives it it's super powers.

Q. How did the t-shirt wind up as part of a factory experiment?
A. Two bullies (Big Sid and Chalky) steal Sammy's shirt and tease him by tossing it to one another. Sid ends up hurling it through a window of the Chemi-Tex Research Laboratories, where it lands on a pile of shirts. These are the shirts that are destined to be experimented with. Sammy and Marvin sneak inside to retrieve it.

Q. Why is Sammy so attached to his tiger t-shirt?
A. He considers it his lucky shirt. He's training for "The Big Race" and believes it will bring him good luck.

Q. "The Big Race"?
A. The storyline revolves around Sammy's obsession with becoming a sporting superstar. He has signed up to compete in "The Big Race" the following day. The plot centres around Sammy getting to it on time, despite all the obvious destractions.

Q. What are the Chemi-Tex Research Laboratories?
A. They are laboratories where they are experimenting with textiles, trying to make them indestructible. Mr. Becket is the boss whilst Mr. Trotter is the head of fibre research.

Q. How does the power surge affect the t-shirt?
Trotter explains to Mr Becket that it "densified the t-shirt's molecular wave patterns, making the material totally indestructible". After running a series of tests on it, he comes to the conclusion that the "hyper-dynamic field not only absorbs the energy, it multiplies it!" In layman's terms it becomes super. The wearer becomes bullet-proof, fire-proof, and inherits super strength, super speed etc. After further tests Trotter comes to the conclusion that the molecules are unstable and the shirt's powers may only lasts a few hours. Sammy and Marv take back the shirt without knowing the consequences.

Q. Does Sammy or Marv figure out that Sammy's new found strength has been brought on by his super shirt?
A. They don't seem to until the climax of the film. Observant, aren't they?

Q. What happens when the shirt begins to lose it powers?
A. The tiger print begins to flash (and a cheesy energy sapping noise kicks in) as it begins to drain Sammy's strength. During the film's climax it actually freezes him. All he can do is yell for Marv's help...

Q. What becomes of the t-shirt?
A. After perusing the shirt for the majority of the film, Becket and Trotter finally take it back after Sammy and Marv discard it. Unfortunately it drags them through a garden fence before exploding. Cue torn clothes, messy hair, and black smutty faces. All that's left of the shirt is the tiger print which is now grinning and laughing maniacally.

Q. What is the moral of the film?
A. Afros, flairs, and tight jeans should all be kept in the '70s. Oh yeah, and Sammy had the strength to win "The Big Race" despite of (not because of) the shirt.
