Six Flags Magic Mountain Valencia, California, USA

Batman is the big ride here and is basically the same coaster
as Nemesis. Instead of fighting druid monsters we become Batman
for a few moments, flying round a car park with an old police
car flashing away down below. I failed to notice the police car
until I'd left the ride.
There are twists and turns, loops and inversions but no mystery: half
Nemesis is under-ground, or some way out of sight, making it hard
to follow the course of the track.
Ruth and I prefer to go to parks when the crowds do not, so we normally go out of season or during term times. We felt half of the Magic Mountain park was shut down: although all rides were open, most of the cafes and restaurants were not. The park also seemed grubby as there was litter and food wrapping blowing about. Perhaps I've spent too long in Disney!
If you go to Six Flags Magic Mountain (and I wouldn't again),
there is also the Ninja which is like Chessington Zoo's Vampire:
a suspended coaster, and Viper which is like Alton's Corkscrew.
