FEEDBACK
Over the last year a handful of people have taken the time to send me feedback about the Coaster pages. I've decided to publish them because they are either funny, informative or contain links. The message may refer to something that has been changed since, eg. the spelling of Nemesis...

Loved your page - any chance of some more rides ( how about all our exceelent woodies ) Do you really feel unsafe on a Woody ? If thats the impression of coming out your seat on every hill ( Airtime ) - I love it ! By the way note the correct spelling is - NEMESIS (ie with an E) Regards

The Big One: whether this is the "tallest" depends on exactly what you mean
by that. If you saw "Coastermania" on New Year's Day you will know that the
crown height is 214', making it the
tallest (just about) by that standard -- but the *drop* height, which is what *really* matters to fans, is 209'
-- 16 feet short of the joint record. Still, it's far taller than anything
else over here, and a great ride, which is what counts.
Batman: Which "Six Flags" park did you mean? (Six Flags is the name of the owners, not the park.) I suspect you meant "Magic Mountain", as the Batman you refer to is in California -- but there are at least two other Batmen, both at Six Flags parks (I think one of them is "Great Adventure", but I'm not sure). Did you see my posting to rec.roller-coaster? (I was requesting help with building an unofficial BPB Home Page.) Oh well -- roll on the new coaster season, just over a month away!

Hi Peter,
I would like to see your link #10 for European Amusement Parks but get an error message saying it's not available. Can you investigate? Please also add The Coaster Enthusiasts of Canada to your page: http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/~ak621/CEC/CEC.html I will add you to ours.

| Hi Peter,
Like your web pages ! Funny, my fiancee & I were at Grand Canyon in September last year. From there we drove to Vegas, and down to Buffalo Bill's. Then back to Grand Canyon (North Rim) via Zion and Bryce NP's, finally back to Phoenix & home. We also like coasters. However, it appears to me that you haven't experienced any really _good_ airtime, which typically you only get on those "tatty wooden coasters". I agree with most of your comments on the steel coasters you've ridden, but I guess that your woodie experience may be a little limited. Luckily, you now have the opportunity to ride a brand new wooden coaster in the UK (OK, Wales) which is _superb_. Megafobia definately warrants an entry on your "UK Classics" list, and it's omission suggests to me that you've not yet ridden it. Please do so !
N.B. A good (new) UK based coaster web site which you could add
to your page is at: Have fun, Regards,

| Dear Peter and Ruth
First may I congratulate you on a cracking (and very well set out) home page. I don't know where to start! I found it as I was trying to find out which UK theme park has the 'stand-up' ride. My searching led to your rollercoaster page, and the much appreciated picture. However, I wasn't too impressed at your saying that Blackpool is 'too far north'. For the two of you I suppose it would be too far just for a day out but for the majority of the population of the UK (the north-west is the most densley populated area of the country!) it isn't 'too far'! | Subject: | Big One vs Desperado first drop question |
| My wife and I visited BPB this summer. The Big One was down for repairs
the entire afternoon we were there, so all I could do is admire the
track. I did get to ride the Desperado last month and was very impressed
with the first drop.
In your opion, which of these two coasters has a better first drop? What if Desperado didn't have a tunnel? I know the Big One has a much steeper first drop then Desperado, but Desperados first drop is 225ft vs 205ft for the Big One. How would you describe the Big One first drop? I would appreciate if you could answer my question. I just feel bad for missing the Big One. We did enjoy the rest of BPB though. Regards,

| Greetings,
Your site is very cool! I'm collecting URL's for some updates to the Theme Parks Interest Group. If you haven't been there, it's sort of a unique place on the web, moderated by Bing Futch ("Toastin'", "70mm") and features sections on U.S. and Foreign Parks, Attractions, Carousels/Merry Go Rounds and Rollercoasters. There's a Guest Relations area where visitors can go with compliments or complaints too! The URL is: http://pages.prodigy.com/alpha/themecoi.htm With hundreds of visits daily, this new group raised lots of eyebrows with the suicidal "Coast-2-Coast Coaster Tour" this past summer. That grueling adventure can now be re-lived online at: http://pages.prodigy.com/alpha/tour.htm Thanks for providing such a cool site, see you out there!

Thanks for a brilliant Web Page! Have you ridden the successor to Kumba,
Dragon Khan, at Port Aventura in Spain. I thought it was a better ride.
It has a long straight drop unlike Kumba's twisting drop and it also has
an extra loop!
Keep on riding! | |

| Everyone enjoys rides to a different degree. For my wife and I, The Desperado is the ultimate roller coaster in the world. We've never been on The Big One, but unless you actually crashed, it couldn't beat Desperado. I think whoever reviewed those two rides is missing the big picture: The THRILL. We are heading to Blackpool this summer to ride the Big One, but I feel a little let down now that I have read your sorry outlook on the ride. If you want to ride thirty mile per hour, termite infested, wooden pieces of shit, that's your prerogative, but don't blow it for other people reading your lousy reviews. | |
