Dance tunes from Kerry
These tunes are used for set dances, which consist of around half a dozen 'figures'. Each figure is itself a mini dance and lasts around five minutes. Each figure is danced to a particular type of tune. In Kerry, this is most likely to be a polka, slide or jig.
As accompaniment to dancing, the tunes should not be taken at the breakneck speed that Irish music is usually played in sessions.
