StickChild were originally formed by Ben, Ed and Ju and assumed the name Orange Buddha. Hilariously Ed was intended as the bassist. The first drummer was Alexa 'Bitch-Ho' Normandale, when that didn't work out Ben T was drafted in.

After practising down in Ben T's funky room, it was decided that Steve ought to be brought in to teach Ed bass. So he was borrowed from his band the Twitch. This was the inspiration for 'Where's Ed?' as Steve quickly became the regular bassist and Ed was often not even at practice.

After playing two poor gigs there was much call for change within Orange Buddha. So StickChild were born. Ju left due to creative differences, Ben T was replaced with drummer Walt and shortly after the preselected brass section were promoted to full band members. [and now they just keep parp parp parping away...]. Also at this stage guitar prodigy Will was invited to join, and thank god he did.

The most recent change in the ranks was the retirement of long serving drummer Walt . Thankyou "Nugget". A replacement proved difficult but finally Simon Hirst accepted the challenge.

The band have come a long way since those early days in numerous garages. Several tens of gigs later, one three track cd and a few new fans, they are finding their sound and gradually creeping away from playing too many covers to be taken seriously.
