Stanley Embankment

This map shows the New A55 (green and white) crossing along side the original Stanley embankment (A5) between Angelsey (right) and Holy Island. The B road shows Four Mile Bridge which is the only other way across to Holy Island. The water in-between Stanley and Four Mile Bridge is known as the Inland Sea. This fills up and empties with the tide. The only way the water gets in and out is through the small hole in Stanley Embankment and under Four Mile Bridge. This creates some decent surf waves.
