8--Head-on collision between a motor cycle and motor oil tank on the Ely-Littleport road resulted in the death of the driver of the motor-cycle, Mr. Hubert Sidney Cook, of Littleport. His pillion passenger, Mr. Wm. Edwin Snushall, of Littleport, was seriously injured and, later, succumbed to his injuries in Addenbrooke's Hospital

7--Bank Holiday-An accident occurred at about 9.30 p.m. near the Grange corner, Ely Road, where a bicycle and a motor car were involved in a head-on collision. Mr. Charles Goodge, junior, of Ten Mile Bank, Littleport, was the cyclist and he was found suffering from severe concussion with injuries to his head. He was conveyed to Addenbrooke's Hospital. The motorist, Mr. A. C. Drake, of Stuntney, was not so severely injured

14--A motor cycle combination, driven by Mr. W. J. Barrett, of the Foresters' Arms, Lynn Road, with his wife riding in the side-car, was involved in a head-on collision with a motor cycle, driven by Mr. S. Brundle, of Southery, who was carrying a pillion passenger. Although both machines were considerably damaged, all those involved escaped with slight injuries.
