A view up the street
This years annual Christmas Street Fayre was held on Friday 1st December. As usual the Main Street was closed to traffic and the shops stayed open late as shoppers filled the street, hunting out presents from the shops and charity stalls.
The evening was started by Santa Claus arriving in a vintage Rolls-Royce. He paraded through the crowds to his grotto by the Littleport Lancettes and George the Dragon, where a record number of children visited him.
There was entertainment during the evening from the Littleport Lancettes majorette troop, the combined choirs of the Ecumenical Churches who were accompanied by the Littleport brass band and the Lakenheath brass band.

The street fayre was arranged by the Littleport branch of the Rotary Club and the lights were put up by the Littleport Lights Committee.
This years spectacular Christmas tree was provided and erected by the Littleport Rotary Club and sponsored by JDR Cables.
