THE OFFICIAL SUTTON UNITED WEBSITE HAS NOW MOVEDAfter six and a half years of producing the official website I'm handing over the bulk of the work to Simon Longman, who has created a brand new site with up to date information from the club. When this site first started there were very few non league web pages and not many people were aware of the potential of the internet. All that has now changed and every club needs a site that is as current as possible. This is where Simon comes in, as He will be able to update the site far sooner than was possible in the past. U's first home Ryman League game is against Bognor Regis Town, one of the promoted sides, on Tuesday 19 August(7.30pm). The reserves are at home to Suburban League champions Hayes on Saturday(ko 3pm) and visit Ashford Town(Middlesex) on Tuesday, and the youth team open their season away to Whyteleafe on Wednesday.
Sutton's impressive Ryman League performance last season has produced the bonus of exemption to the second round of the FA Trophy. By finishing in the top ten they have avoided having to play in the first round and will enter the competition at the second round stage on Saturday 29 November. As in recent seasons, U's will come in to the FA Cup at the second qualifying round stage on Saturday 27 September, the draw for which will be made nearer the time of the game. |

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT SUTTON UNITEDOn Saturdays when Sutton United's first team is at home, the club can arrange a birthday party for between 5 and 20 youngsters in one of its well-appointed function rooms. Burgers, bangers, chips-all the things kids love(although you can opt for something different if you wish). The club will supply party bags if required, and after watching the game the children can meet the players afterwards. Someone will be on hand to supervise and make sure that everything runs smoothly, so parents who want a few moments of peace can relax in the bar. clan.parker@btinternet.com |
