Kidderminster v Sutton United

ATT 2818                                                              By David Parker

Sutton fall into the relegation zone after a disappointing defeat at Kidderminster . Sutton started the game well with some good defending against the current league leaders . United soaked up most of the pressure from a Kidderminster side that played some good football through out the game . As well as defending Sutton also produced a few promising attempts on goal with Dave Harlow's free kick cleared as far as Jimmy Dack who cracked his shot against the woodwork . Through out the first half Sutton made it a very difficult game for Kidderminster with the defence very tight and with Gareth Howells on excellent form as usual with great saves in both halves of the game .

As the half time whistle blew Sutton deserved to be on level terms and should have held on to at least a point but an unstoppable shot from thirty yard volley which flew against the post and in to the goal .

Sutton might have to be with out Dave Harlow for a few weeks who unfortunately was strechered off in the sixty-third minute . United battled on with Kidderminster applying more and more pressure with Riley heading off the line and Howells called into action once again , Hadley had a shot against the post and one that just went over . In the last twenty minuets the pressure on the U's defence was getting harder to deal with and Sutton could have easily been two goals down but United managed to hold until the final whistle with the score still 1-0 .

In the eighty-seventh minute Nko went on a run down the wing into the area to be brought down by the keeper . With Riley and Watson off the field Jimmy Dack stepped up to take the penalty but he could only direct the kick against the bar for Sutton's third missed penalty in a row .

Elation Sutton defended well , letting only a few chances slip by

Deflation Dave Harlow 's injury . Slipping into a relegation position, missing another penalty.
