Chris joined the band in 1997 as the latest in a line of four bass players! He is a music teacher by profession and, although playing mainly bass guitar in the band, is also an excellent old-time and bluegrass banjo player. In fact, he is local area contact for the British Bluegrass Association.

A recent convert to English traditional music, Chris’s tastes are wide ranging and he also plays with 'Moonshine and Bluegrass', 'Run of the Mill', The Hemel Hellbellies and at a number of clubs and sessions in the area. In fact, he sometimes thinks there just aren’t enough days in a week!

Apart from giving Chris enthusiasm for English tunes, the band have also succeeded in educating him about the finer things in life – such as good single malt whisky!
