Children's work 2003

During 2003, the Sunday School met in the new school classroom on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month. An all-age worship was held in church on the 2nd Sunday of the month. We have decided to move away from this pattern, and to run Sunday School every week, holding all-age services only for occasions such as Harvest, Easter Sunday and Mothers' Day. During the Summer Holidays, all church services will be all-age too.

We have much to thank God for with Sunday School:

However, we would value prayer for:

On Halloween, Ruth abley led our alternative activity 'Treat no Trick'. About 40 children from the village attended the event, playing games, eating (lots!) and hearing about light and darkness. Several parents from the school helped with the 'crowd control' required. Thank you to all involved.

The church provides a Bible Club at the school, run for the older children. During 2003 the group studied Elisha (presenting 'Elisha Rap' in assembly), Jonah and Joshua. The latter was presented as a play in church by the group early in 2004. The children are well behaved and interested. The ongoing lliance between school, chapel and church, offering the children a clear Christian message, is a real blessing to the village.
