Cathedrals Cathedrals
Details

Oxford Cathedral is the smallest of the English cathedrals because in 1525 half of the length of the nave was removed to make room for a quadrangle that was part of the Cardinal College, now the Tom Quad of Christ Church. Unusually the arcade of the nave have double arches possibly to give an impression of extra height.
