| Race start time is 10.30am from Nant Peris, a free bus service to the start is available from event HQ in Llanberis. Buses will run from approx. 9am onwards. From the start at Nant Peris (300ft) the route follows the A4086 and climbs to the top of the Llanberis Pass (Pen y Pass 1,100ft). It follows the A498 to Beddgelert (200ft) and there continues along the A4085 to Waunfawr. From here it is a rapid climb to about 1,200ft at Bwlch y Groes (a short length is unmetalled) and then downhill to the finish in Llanberis. Download a PDF of the course (29KB). There are spectacular views along the etire route. This is why, in 2006, readers of Runners World magazine voted the Snowdonia Marathon the most scenic race in the UK. Junior Races There are junior races for under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18's, age on the first of January 2007. Download a PDF of the under 10, 12 course here. All juniors will be given a goody bag, prizes will be awarded to category winners. Entry is free to local juniors (living in Gwynedd) and £2 to all others.
