I have been involved with the history of British cookery
for over thirty years, working in television and radio slots with the
BBC. I write for several local newspapers and enjoy guest chef appearances
for all area's of the catering sector.
The detective in me brings me to every corner of the world looking to
see how food came to our tables, talking about and demonstrating the
food from yesteryear.
As a catering consultant I am involved in all aspects of the industry
and am often called on to give advice on setting up hotels/restaurants.Consultancy
work includes giving advice to multiple food companies with regards
to production from devising a recipe product right through to seeing
it being presented and succesfully sold.
My favourite pastime is reading antique cookery books and I have a collection
of very rare books. I have cookery books published and write on any
subject.
