Tring Wargames Club meets at the New Mill Social Centre, Bulbourne Road, Tring, Herts, (See How to find Us for map.) Meetings are every Friday from about 7.15pm. until 10.30pm. Most periods are played from ancients to sci-fi.
New comers are welcome to pop in. Membership is a very reasonable £2.00 a year, (due in January,) plus £2.00 at each meeting you attend, your first two meetings are free. Membership includes the clubs quarterly newsletter Dispatches.
In addition to Friday evenings, the club holds a number of open days on a Saturday or Sunday. These open days allow us to refight some of the more ambitious battles that we would not have time for on a normal club evening. In the past we have fought Waterloo, Vitoria, Gettysberg and D-Day to name but a few.
The club also runs a demo game at a few shows such as Campaign, (Milton Keynes) and Broadsword, (Walthamstow.) Some of our recent demos have included a Russian Civil war battle, an airborne landing in Crete, a 15mm pirate game and 25mm Indian Mutiny Game. As well as demo games we enter a team in the Triples in Sheffield. This is a very enjoyable weekend, we usually travel up on Fridays and stay in a hotel until Sunday.
So whether you are young or old please come along and have a look at us, we dont bite and it will not cost anything, so what have you got to lose.
