Young Blueliner Signs on for Blaze

Highly rated young defenceman, Adam Radmall, has been confirmed as a Coventry Blaze player for the coming season. The promising blueliner joins from Nottingham having played primarily for the English National Premier League Nottingham Lions last season but also having dressed for a limited number of Panthers games.

The youngster has represented England at Under 18 level and has earned rave reviews from all corners for his performances over the last couple of years. Blaze fans may remember Radmall from two appearances he made for the Skydome outfit in the Best of British competition during Season 2000-2001 where he impressed Head Coach Paul Thompson:-

"Adam impressed me 2 seasons ago when he played for us and I have been keeping my eye on him since then, he needs the challenge of the next step and I'm prepared to give him that opportunity. He's a very keen and dedicated young man who wants to climb the hockey ladder and with what I have seen and heard I'm sure he could become a fixture with Coventry in the BNL."

Grant Charman, Operations Director for the team added "Adam is one of the hot prospects in British hockey and we are absolutely over the moon to have him here with the Blaze next year. He will learn a lot playing regularly in the BNL, but I'm sure he'll adapt and pick his game up to the required level. I think this signing indicates the commitment to youth development that the Blaze are making and it's vitally important for the future of the sport in this country that talented young players are spotted and given an opportunity, at a professional level, at a young age."
