August 22Hilton Back For More
The 6'0" and 185 lbs Canadian picked up 92 points (42+50) during last season's campaign, finishing third in overall scorers for the Blaze, despite playing through a troublesome hand injury for a large part of the season. Coach Paul Thompson confirmed : "Hilton has been a big part of what we have created here in Coventry, both on and off the ice. I think he was our most consistent forward from the New Year into the playoffs and will always get you those clutch goals. I need another big season out of him if we are to build on last season." Hilton will also be continuing in his off-ice role as Customer Relations manager, looking after the 50+ sponsors now supporting the Blaze. The Hilton Hotel, in Coventry, will once again be sponsoring the charismatic Ruggles, and have agreed an improved deal with the team for the coming season. |
The "High & Mighty" Coventry Blaze ice hockey team are delighted to confirm the re-signing of one of the most popular players on last season's roster, Hilton Ruggles. The veteran goal-poacher will be back for his third year in Blaze colours.
