These are both comic book characters. Modern Starman (aka Jack Knight) and
his father, the Golden Age Starman (aka Ted Knight). Both these figures'
cosmic rods can be made to light up. They are lit in the picture but I
don't think the camera caught it. I am a big fan of the look of Golden Age
heroes, unfortunately the stories always leave me a bit cold.

There are a range of Preacher figures featuring most of the supporting
cast from the comic book, but this is the main man. His eye patch is
removable (he didn't have it in the earlier comic books) and a button on
his back makes his eyes glow red. His eyes glowed when he used his special
power-the word of God, where he could get people to obey his every word.
If you want to know more about Preacher then go to the comic section where
you will find cover art and story reviews.

I'm not really sure if these qualify as
action figures, but I don't want to add any further sections to my
web-site so these guys can go in this section. In addition to these
excellent lead Britains figures I used to have a lot of Timpo figures as
well. The Britains figures looked more realistic to me and I would love to
own enough of them to have two giant armies-knights versus Turks-clashing.
This is one of my favorite Knights figures although unfortunately the
transfer from the shield has disappeared over the years.

Not sure about this one. The mould on the
cloak is excellent, but I don't like the pose. I don't think "stick
with feathers on" is the original weapon either.

The mounted Knights really, truly rocked!
This guy is probably worth 5 stars but until I have some other mounted
figures to compare him with, I will stick with 4. Of all the Knights
figures, those on horseback were the most dynamic. Again I go misty eyed
at the thought owning a regiment of them, Riders of Rohan style.

No color on the horses reins so subtract
one star. The disadvantage with the Turks was the fact that you could see
their faces and so and the detail was never very good which subtracted a
little from the realistic look.
