Welcome To The Walnut Tree Bowling Club 2007

The Walnut Tree Bowling Club was formed in 1929, and have been very much involved with the local community since that time.

The pub we are pleased has now re-opened and is being run in the capable hands of Barb & Billy. The clubs would like to wish them both the best of luck for the future of the pub.

 

We are affiliated to the governing body, the British Crown Green Bowling Association who look after our rules and the day to day running of the game.

 

Our local County is Merseyside County Bowling Association

The Walnut Tree are pleased to accept any members into our club from the ages of 10 –80 yrs and of course everybody is made very welcome !!

 

The Walnut Tree is probably most famous for its major tournaments that where held at the Walnut in the mid 1980s until early 1990s. At one time the tournament had a 1st prize of £1,600. Our friends over at the Northern Club, Crosby now hold one of the biggest in the area with the ‘Northern Classic’ which includes some of the biggest names in the bowling world.
