A Charming Village Pub and Restaurant

The Crown Inn is situated in the quiet village of Woolhope, in the heart of rural Herefordshire, halfway between the city of Hereford and the market town of Ross-on-Wye and just a few miles from the village of Fownhope and the beautiful River Wye.

This charming village pub and restaurant is over 200 years old with some parts of it dating back to the 16th century. There are two bar areas, one is affectionately known by the locals as "The Pond" and is often the centre of village activity with its Quoits Team, charity events and as the headquarters of the local cricket and tennis teams. There are two pretty garden areas, a patio garden and a large enclosed garden with outdoor bar facilities for Saturday nights.

Matt and Annalisa purchased the freehold of the Crown Inn in September 2007 after 8 years at the Scrumpy House in Much Marcle. They aim to continue to work with local farms and producers to offer the very best this special part of Herefordshire has to offer. All the food is freshly prepared on the premises and the menu reflects the changing seasons with honest pub classics and some Scrumpy House specials. Families are welcome and there is a special children's menu. Monday night is curry night! ... £7.95 per person.
